Grotto at Bellingrath Gardens near Mobile, Alabama features stone walks, steps, and water garden
From the first summer that Felder gardened around his Jackson bungalow, stones of all types and sizes played a huge role. After killing all the turfgrass, Felder had three huge boulders set into the hillside, around which he planted wildflowers to create a naturalistic hill-country look.
SPRING...
FALL
Soon after that, he selected the perfect "fall" rock for his all-stone water feature - a fall rock
is what makes the great sounds as water falls from it into the pool below; making a small cave
behind the waterfall aims and amplifies the sound, like cupping your hands around your mouth to holler.
